Sabrent’s Rocket PCIe 4.0 is now available on at Amazon starting at $230 (via Tom’s Hardware). The SSD is one of the first on the market to use the PCIe 4.0 interface. As a result, it has incredible read and write speeds.

The Rocket PCIe 4.0 can reach read speeds of 5,000MB/s and write speeds of 4,400MB/s. To reach these speeds, you need to have a PCIe Gen4 motherboard or your speeds will be capped due to your hardware. Gen 3 PCIe maxes out at 3,400MB/s so you’ll lose a significant amount of speed unless you have a system that can fully take advantage of the new SSD. A combination of the upcoming Ryzen 3000 and the x570 will be the only hardware setup capable of handling the speed of the MP600.
