We asked 3000 students, 4000 educators and 80 global experts what they thought the Class of 2030 would need to navigate their future and analyzed over 200 evidence points. We discovered that today’s kindergarteners will graduate into a world transformed by artificial intelligence (AI), and the skills and dispositions they will need to thrive will be substantively different than those prioritized by previous generations.

In this session, participants will be introduced to the key findings from the 2018 research, “The Class of 2030 and Life-ready Learning” and particularly the two core themes: the critical importance of social/emotional skills and personalized learning. Insights will be shared about the technologies that show greatest promise to extend and amplify these themes: collaborative platforms, mixed reality and analytics powered by AI. There will be key evidence from new global research conducted by the Economist Intelligence Unit shared which highlights a well-being agenda for 21st century skills as well as insights from leading schools around the globe who are driving innovation in student well-being.
